 ... will be one of my favourite action games for sure. Excellent animations, gameplay and story. Freeware at its best.

SYNOPSIS
Is an excellent action stealth game where you control a thief in an exciting story with crime, murder, betrayal. Break in, pass the guards, don't let cameras see you, steal everything valuable and earn reputation.
STORY
The story develops during, before and after your missions and is quite entertaining and suspenseful. Dive into a mystery of crime, murder, conspiracy and betrayal.
GAMEPLAY
Trilby is a really well done action stealth game, where you control a thief (called Trilby, by the way), ducking into dark spots, avoiding cameras, lasers and guards, picking doors and safes and from time to time even using your umbrella-taser to knock out people.
During your break-ins you collect valuable objects and money, but also reputation points, with which you can gain new useful abilities like hangig on to the ceiling etc. You have a limited number of alarms before Trilby decides to disappeare and your mission has failed. Saving is only possible at home, not during the missions.
COMMENT
Trilby is an excellent freeware title with highly enjoyable gameplay and a high replay value. The graphics are limited to 640x480, but the design is beautiful and fit the game excellently. The programming is solid and the features and ideas of the leveldesign are great. THis is again a game you start to play and forget about time, cry out in rage when the alarm goes off and chuckle like crazy to yourself when something went the way you wanted it to be. Trilby offers an excellent mixture between action gameplay and contemplating the scenery to make up a strategy on how to pass that guard in front of you.
Trilby - Art of Theft is an Art of Gaming: Maybe the graphics are not up-to-date, but they don't want to be and for me that's perfectly ok. If you like a cunning, funny, intelligent and addictive actiongame, download Trilby. Nothing more to say.
