SYNOPSIS
First Person Shooter. Nothing more. Nothing less.
STORY
No story. Its a multiplayer deathmatch game. I don't need no story to shoot the opponents. Right?
GAMEPLAY
Reviewing a First Person Shooter is a bit dull, from the view of a wanna-be-creative writer. Particularly if you have to review more than obe First Person Shooter. The gameplay is the same, mostly, and the only thing you talk about in professional magazines about computer games are the graphics. A new shooter has to have better graphics than the ones before. Well, really?
If you see Nexuiz (a word which I at least don't know how to pronounce, let alone know what it could mean), you immediatly think of a commercial release. The more astonished you are when you hear that it is freeware. And if you are into deathmatch shooters, you will be sucked into the world of Nexuiz.
COMMENT
Nexuiz is professionally designed, models, animation, maps, effects, everything is on a high level standart. The weapons have two fire modes (left and right mouse button). You can practice with bots and later connect yourself to extensive battles in the internet on one of the many servers. There are different game modes like Domination etc.
Nexuiz is THE freeware shooter that has the same feeling as its commercial brothers QUAKE or UNREAL TOURNAMENT. It can do the same, it looks really good and has already more than sufficient players so that you always will find competitors. Nexuiz doesn't create anything new, it presents you with traditional gameplay on a high quality level, and that for free.
