SYNOPSIS
A great, quake inherited first person shooter with lots of maps, fast gameplay and excellent graphics. Can be played online or as singleplayer with bots.
STORY
The Alien Arena Series has a long story. Nevertheless it's a story of the developing of the game rather than the storyline told in the game. Alien Arena 2007 is the latest of the series and the most advanced, too. As it is a deathmatch shooter, it has no in-game story.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is, well, the gameplay of a deathmatch. WASD, shoot, duck, collect health, die. Right. Of course there are new weapons and new models. Everthing is professionally modelled and realy can compete with other shooters liek Quake 3 Arena. Speaking of Q3A, some of the maps actually are changed, extended Q3A-maps. I don't mind that, don't get me wrong. I like it.
COMMENT
Alien Arena is yet again another deathmatch shooter. But wait a minute. There are not that many freeware shooters with a high quality concering graphics, balance, servers and gameplay. Alien Arena has a modified Quake-Engine and hereby inherits all the great attributes a ID-Engine has got. No wonder there are quite a lot of servers online with quite a bunch of people playing.
For singleplayer you will be fighting against bots in different difficulties.

An awesome, FREE FPS with a great playerbase and challenging opponents, bot or human. With regular updates and an easy to run and use setup, it's an easy game to pick up and play on most any computer as settings can be toned down to suit most computers to run smoothly.
