I have to confess, I like the looks of a Quake3D engine. Of course, a Havok engine, a Crisis engine etc. look good and have some effects the Quake3D engine does not have. Anyway, I like the feeling of the engine. I don't need more realism than in the Quake-engine, when you get my point.
World of Padman uses this engine and looks just great. That depends on the leveldesign, too. The levels are funny, nice, functional and have an extraordinary setting for a FPS. Padman ressembles a mixture of MicroMachines graphics with a First Person shooter gameplay. Just look at the pictures and you'll know what I mean.
Padman is free, has a fast growing community, stable multiplayer support and a unique gamemode. If you are into multiplayer shooting and don't need a gloomy, dark WW2-setting you actually shoudn't be reading this. You should be downloading or playing!!!
