If you like horizontal shooters, play this game and get on your knees. If you dislike horizontal shooters, play this game and enjoy the graphical explosion and the horrendous speed.
The controls are easy, being only five buttons you have to use: left, right, up (accelerate), z(charge), and x (shoot). Actually the rules are like in every other horizontal/vertical shooter. You have to shoot the enemy spaceships and dodge their bullets. After some time and some killing you reach the next level. Maybe new is that you can accelerate, normally you just can change the horizontal position of your spacecraft, in Torus Trooper you really accelerate. Like the developer says in the readme-file: "Speed! More Speed!" Exactly. Torus Trooper is fast. Really fast.
The developer ABA games definitly is no newbie concerning shooter-games. Actually they realized quite a number of titles, all are horizontal shooters and all are remarkably well designed. I liked torus trooper best, because it's fast, extremly well desiged and great fun to play.
