Astronoids was shareware, now is completely freeware! A good choice of the developers, I think. Because astronoids will easily gain a huge community in the freeware scene. The graphics are excellent, the maps are well designed and diversified. Weapons and shields add marvelously to the futuristic racing action. Chats and online stats enhance the motivation for the next race.
And this is what I really like: Futuristic racing games with crazy courses. Anyone remembers Xtreme G? Well, Astronoids isn't that fast, but the laps sometimes really remind of a rollercoaster. When there are multiple other pilots behind you or in front of you, your adrenalin starts to rush.
Actually I spend one hour in gathering the screens for this article, because everytime I started a race, I had to finish it, of course ;-)
